Final Concert Donation Tally & Other Fun Facts

I am blown away and pleased to report what an amazing and generous neighborhood we have!

Here a quick history of net funds raised over 4 years of this fun community building event:

2016:  $2,500 for Craig Chamberlin's plum fund account
2017:  $1,000 for Valley Outreach (bad weather canceled the second half of the concert)
2018:  $5,374 for Community Thread

(Drum roll please)

2019:  $8,192 for Valley Outreach!!!

Total funds raised this year were $11,692 which included corporate sponsorship funds to cover the cost of the band.

A few more fun facts:
  • Anchored up boat count this year = 57
    • Up from 49 last year
    • Does not count transient boats who came in/out and never anchored up.
  • Of the $1137 in cash collected at halftime during the concert, $40 of it was rescued by 2 very brave women who dove in the water when a $20 dollar bill came out of our butterfly net on 2 separate occasions.
    • Problem solved for next year, so no worries going forward.
    • One of the two women was completely dry when she jumped in.
    • They were both given "10" scores for their style and execution of said dives.
  • Please be on the lookout for an updated "Carnelian Cares" Facebook page.
    • Please share your concert photos here!
